Our story

It started on the other side of the church office.

ChurchStack was started by church leaders who have served in church for more than a decade. They grew up in church, went on to lead departments themselves, and saw the same struggle everywhere: members kept in spreadsheets, rotas sorted out in group chats, birthdays missed, visitors who never heard back, and reports pulled together by hand the night before a meeting.

So they set out to build a better way: friendly enough for any volunteer to pick up, automated wherever it saves real time, and helped along by AI where that makes the work lighter. ChurchStack is the result, and it keeps growing with the churches that use it.

What we set out to fix

The problems we kept seeing.

Every church we have served in had some of these. Here is what ChurchStack does about each one.

Church life runs on WhatsApp, Excel and phone calls.

People, groups, events, messages and giving live in one place, so nothing depends on whose phone it is on.

Birthdays are missed and visitors never hear back.

Celebrations are listed for you, first timers are tagged as they check in, and follow-up emails can go out automatically.

Announcements go out late, or not at all.

Publish once and it reaches the member app with a notification, or send it by email and SMS, now or at a time you choose.

Rotas and duty schedules are messy.

Group rosters show who is serving, and the people on them are told in the app.

Reports and requests are gathered by hand.

Departments submit their reports in one place for review, and requests go through a clear approval flow.

Leaders decide without good information.

Attendance, growth and giving are on the dashboard, and Barnabas answers questions about your church in plain English.

Members are not sure how to give.

The member app shows your bank details, takes card gifts straight into your account, and keeps each person’s giving history.

Events are hard to run from RSVP to the register.

Members RSVP in the app, check in with a QR code at the door, and attendance builds itself.

Training and membership classes are tracked on paper.

Today you can run a class as a group with its own roster and chat. Dedicated course tracking is on our roadmap.

How we build ChurchStack.

Simple enough for any volunteer

If a new volunteer cannot pick it up on a Sunday morning, we have not finished building it.

Free for smaller churches

Churches of up to 150 people use ChurchStack free. Larger churches pay a price set by their size, never by feature.

We take no cut of your giving

Card gifts go straight into your church’s own Stripe or Paystack account. We never hold your money.

Your data is yours

Export your contacts, giving and attendance whenever you like. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

AI that helps, never decides

Barnabas reads your records to answer questions and draft messages. It cannot change anything, and it only sees what the person asking can see.

Built in the UK, hosted in the EU

ChurchStack is a UK company, and your church’s data is stored in Ireland and Germany.

Where is ChurchStack based?

In the UK. ChurchStack is run by NULIFE MULTIMEDIA LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.

Is ChurchStack right for our church?

If you would like your people, events, communication and giving in one place, very likely. It works for a house church of twenty as well as a church with several campuses, and it is free while you are under 150 people, so the easiest way to find out is to try it.

Can churches outside the UK use it?

Yes. Everything works wherever you are; card giving is available in the countries Stripe and Paystack support.

How do we get help?
